I retired from teaching full time in 2013. Without a classroom of my own, I suddenly found myself in need of a creative outlet.
One day while surfing the internet and Pinterest in particular, I happened upon the craft of using bowling balls as a basis for yard art.
I thought it looked like a creative and fun way to pass the time. Furthermore, it was a good way to keep both my hands and my mind occupied.
Coming up with new ways to decorate bowling balls has become a passion for me. I have always loved the idea of repurposing and recycling.
Bowling ball art is a good fit with that idea. Most bowling balls end up as fodder for our landfills. A terrible waste of precious space, in my opinion.
